We're expecting a baby girl in a few weeks and I'm still not set on a name. I know I want to use Annette as a middle name, after my mother. I'm a sucker for longer, traditional names with a nn that we would call her by. Up for consideration:
Samantha Annette (my husband loves Samantha, and I do too, but I'm a bit concerned that the nn, Sam, is gender neutral--don't ask me why, I just am) Rose Annette (Rose is after my husband's grandmother but I'm concerned it's too close to Rose Anne; nn would be Rosie) Beatrice Annette (nn Trixie, but that seems like a lot of letters) Thoughts? Other recommendations? |

I like Rose of your options, but it doesn't seem to meet your criteria of longer with a nn.
Dorothy (Dot/Dottie) Elizabeth (I love Betsy for this one, but most go with Lizzie or Beth) Victoria (Vicki or Tori) Genevieve (Ginny) |
|
Matilda nn Tilly
Josephine nn Josie |
| Wilhelmina nn Mina/Minnie |
|
Theodosia Annette (nn Thea)
Carolyn/Caroline Annette (nn Carol, Carrie, Caddie a la Caddie Woodlawn) Josephine Annette (nn Jo a la Jo March, Josie) Margaret Annette (nn Maggie, Margo, Meg, Peggy) Elizabeth Annette (nn Liz, Eliza a la Hamilton, Beth a la Beth March) Philippa Annette (nn Pippa) Alexandra Annette (nn Alex, Alexa, Ali) - I think this one sounds the best, although I don't know your last name. |

Lol! I love Elizabeth (Betsy) too (though that's my name!) |

I like Rose a lot. If you are worried about people calling her Rose Ann, you could go with Rosaline or Rosamund or some variation, and still use the nn of Rosie. The extra syllables might dissuade family and teachers from going to Rose Ann.
Dorothy (nn Dory) Dorothea (Thea) Winifred (Winnie) Margaret (Maggie) |

Rosemary nn Rosie
Teresa nn Tessa Veronica nn Vera |

This is a nice vibe. From your original three, I like Rose Annette.
I also love the suggestion of Caroline, and while I like Carrie, I also like Callie. Margaret Annette, nn Maggie or Meg. Vivian Annette, nn Vivi. Olivia Annette, nn Liv. |
| Delphine (Delly or Fin or Fifi) |
| Leonora (Lee, Leo, Nora) |
| Rosalind (Rosey, Lindy) |
| Rose Annette, nicknamed Rosie, is lovely. |
