What do you think of the word “anywho”?

As I listen to my husband non-stop on “important” work conference calls all day long, I’m surprised how often he says the word “anywho” as a way to transition the conversation. What would you think of someone that throws out the word, “anywho” on a work call? Curious if I’m the only one annoyed...

Dumb.

I use the term “anywho” more than I say “anyhow”. It’s probably regional to some degree. Anyhow seems so blunt.

Silly and sounds odd in this day and age

What do I think? I think it's spelled "anyhoo."

I also think it should only be used ironically.

I think you should find bigger problems to worry about. What a charmed life you lead. ANYHOO

It is a casual transition signifying lightheartedness.

It would drive me crazy, it sounds so stupid. Right up there with exspecially, irregardless, pivot and the phrase ‘a couple, three’ which screams I’m from the Midwest!

I think your husband is white.
