We've tried all the usual contenders (Vocelli's, Papa John's, Dominoes) and I'm hoping someone has a better suggestion for delivery. We're hosting a Superbowl party for 40 so price is very much consideration (otherwise I'd hit Pie-tanza), and a place I could also order salad and/or wings from would be great. Is there any hidden treasure I've missed?

I know you said no to Papa Johns, but as I type, there's a sidebar saying all large pizzas are $10 with your choice of toppings. PJ's isn't my favorite, but that's a good deal if you need a lot of pizzas.
Also, I'd skip the salad delivery and make that yourself. It's so easy and it will taste a lot better. |
OP here - I totally didn't notice that ad banner until you pointed it out! I'm thinking that will be the way to go, and good point about the salad. I guess the wings are the real "extra" I'd have to look for...
I was going to suggest Joe's or Lost Dog. But that would be pricey for the number of people. I would do the Pj's. It isn't the best but would be the cheapest!
Maybe Z-Pizza? Sometimes they have deals and I think their pizza is good!
Z Pizza is pricey, which I think is one of the OP's concerns.
What about the new take and bake place in Arlington? www.homemadepizza.com
Also pricey which is why we haven't gone there yet even though we can walk to it. ALso more gourmet - maybe not the best for 40 people! |
One of the chains may be your best bet for price but Joe's Pizza on Lee Highway could be another option. They've got a coupon online for 2 large 2 topping pizzas for $18.95. It's the kind of place you could call and see if they'd cut you a deal when buying in bulk.
Pizza Milano. There are coupons out there for buy one get one half off, or something like that. Much better than PJ, IMO. I really dislike PJs and many of the chains.
Another vote for Pizza Milano -- very inexpensive.
Brick's Pizza is great.
