Does anyone use it and can they recommend the farm(s) they use?
Thanks! |

We use Potomac Vegetable Farms, but they don't do home delivery. They do have drop spots all over though, that may be closer to your home than the farms. Good luck!

I have heard lots of good things about Norman's Farm Market - but they don't do delivery - you can pick up from several central locations. www.normansfarmmarket.com. Their CSA starts in May.
South Mountain veggies has local delivery of organic/local. And many of my friends swear by them. They also run all year long. http://www.southmountainveggies.com. |
| Washington Green Grocer has an organic option I think. Of course there are things that don't grow locally, at least at certain seasons, so finding organic and local for the next few months will be difficult. |

Last year, we did the CSA at Great Country Farms. Not everything is organic, but they try to be. They will deliver.

| We've been using Washington Green Grocer for 2 years now. Very convienent and a few different home delivery options. For family of 3, we get a box every two weeks. |
| Absolutely love Washingtons Green Grocer. |
We used them two years ago. Some of the produce was excellent, but I'd say 1/3 to 1/2 of it was horrible. It tasted bad, and I mean bad, and a lot of it was rotton at the time of delivery. I was home the days it was delivered, so it wasn't that it had been sitting out. We live in Arlington and the year we did it, they were questioning if they should deliver that far. So I assume they just gave us the crappy food (and gave the good stuff to the customers they valued more). |
