I think this might be very close to how she thought about it.

This actually makes a weird amount of sense. Isn’t there also a bit of a pause between her first and second? I almost sense like maybe that pause was the process between trying on her own and then going into IF process. Agree IF processes absolutely suck and have been through multiple myself.

Then 2-6 came so quickly and sequentially it would make sense that multiple surrogates were being used to increase chances. Of course no proof just saying for some reason this just makes a lot of sense. Biggest crazy if this is true is just the feigning pregnancy(ies) and being so so so overt and literally naked belly in your face.

+1. Any pregnancy deception would be similar to the Spain deception. She was ballsy about the Spain deception, and it worked for her for years. She still feels no shame about what she did. The pregnancy deception could be similarly justifiable in her eyes. She was already pregnant once, they are using her eggs, and her body is no one’s business but hers. That could be her rationale for why it’s okay to let people believe she gave birth to all those kids. Maybe she sees herself as being maternally fluid, just like she’s culturally fluid.

Totally. She would be correct about her body being no ones business but hers, except the big in-her-face issue here would be where she made a business of being a “wellness expert” focused on the “natural” bounce back of her body. Thus lying in order to profit off her audience. I can even see her rationalizing this further because maybe another one or two of the kids she did in fact carry too, but then also sprinkled with surrogate use. In her mind I can imagine she sort of just fudges it all together as if the details don’t matter.

I’ve heard one of the long-term issues for people who constantly lie or whose lives are built around secrets is that they actually lose grip on reality and what is real versus not.

Yes. This is a very important distinction. In addition to my pregnancy and birth experience being enormously painful (I didn’t get an epidural even though I repeatedly asked for one), it has done permanent damage to my body - both in terms of how it looks and how it functions. If this woman profited by misleading the public about being pregnant and then misleading the public about “bouncing back,” then she did something truly morally despicable.

The issue of faking pregnancies (monsterous if true) I do not see how it ever can be proven.

But her Spain lie for ten years getting her $10 million is proved. Why not focus on the proved issue and get restitution there? This focus on faked pregnancies opens the door to her to call people kooks weirdos and hate filled. This focus on faked pregnancies I think will actually mean she will never be held accountable on the Spain lie.

Commercial surrogacy was banned in NYC until recently. So recently there is claim that the Baldwin's were the first or one of the first to do so after the van. The fertility clinic they went through posted about it with their initials.

That only means prior to the NY ban, you couldn’t BE a surrogate in NY. The parents can live wherever and have a surrogate who lives in another state.
