My daughter is in camp (save your judgement) and today she was talking about how some of her counselors have the masks that have a clear window over the mouth so you can see someone’s lips while they’re talking or smiling. I think this is brilliant (particularly for hard of hearing folks... which isn’t my kid, but anyway). Now she wants one and I’m wondering if anyone has seen a child size mask with this feature?
Thanks! Btw, contrary to my concern my 5 year old happily wears her mask all day since she has to to be at camp. |

I would stick to machine washable masks. |
I know some people who got them off Etsy. They are less breathable and they sweat more which means taking off the mask to clean that window. Can your daughter reliably clean her mask with proper hand sanitizing? |
Etsy - I would be concerned about the stitching around the mouth, not easy to clean, plastic will turn yellow or not wash well, etc. Just email the etsy sellers and ask for a kid size. |
Are you able to add a clear window to one she already has? |
This was also my friend's experience when they sent their 5 & 6 year old to camp. No issues. |
This guy is deaf and started a business making them when he got frustrated that he couldn’t lip read.

There are tutorials for it. I know because my kids attend a public school that is the deaf and hard of hearing center and they may need mask windows to communicate with lip reading classmates. |
Rafi Nova has these, I have not bought one but they've received good press. They have adult and child.
