One of our trees has died. Totally dead. We were leasing our house so didn't know it was totally gone, but it is.
Any recommendations for a removal service? I don't know what kind of tree it is, it's probably 25'-30' feet high. |

JL Tree service Fairfax.
They are great. |
| Tree Town USA wont be happy, haha |
| All tree services are extremely expensive. But Tysons Tree Service is the worst. |
and expensive |

I have used JL Tree and they do good work. Prices are relative to the size and whether or not they can use a crane etc.
If you can wait, prices are lower in winter. |
The Tree Town thing is a joke. With all the teardown activity the trees are coming down. |
get billy bob from west VA with no insurance. much cheaper... |

We have used these guys twice now, to remove a lot of dead/dying/diseased trees. They are extremely reasonably priced, and licensed/bonded/insured (they provided me with the documents).

We've used both JL and Tysons Tree and had good experiences with both. Tysons Tree was the most reasonable of the three quotes we got last year to take out a dying tree that had become a fall hazard.
It was far more expensive than the independent guy we got to do a much simpler removal, but it was also faster and they took the tree with them. Tom Teets at Bartlett Tree is incredible, but they are off the charts expensive. |
| We also had a good experience with Tysons Tree. |
| Make sure they're insured. Tysons Tree, JL and Lopez Tree are all good. |
JL was way overpriced. Their quote was a lot more than others. |
+1000000 Have used them many times. Always professional, great prices, and neat. |
| Is it on a boundary with a neighbor? That will change my answer depending on whether cheap is OK, or you need to negotiate with the neighbors for space, access etc. |
