Summer is a sucky season

By the time it’s nice enough to really enjoy the deck and backyard, it’s time for bath and bed :-/

I am completely alone in this but I HATE summer. The older I get the more I hate it. All the “summer loving”...no. Maybe when my kids are older?

-heat: in the winter you put a coat on. In the summer...? So sweaty
-bugs
-poison ivy

Plus the sunscreen, hats, bug spray, nightly showers...and my kids go to bed early so we miss the fireflies and bonfires etc etc.

Late July/August is the February/early March of summer. But it’s a little better because you don’t have to go as far to escape - you just have to drive up into the mountains. Or hide in the a/c until it’s over.

Summer has always been the worst season. The days are way too long, and it's too hot and humid to do anything outdoors after 8am. Plus the bugs. So many bugs.

Polar vortex is infinitely better.

Yes, in cooler or cold weather, I am the most fun person you will ever meet. I even love the rain.

Mine, too.

Although, this summer is the first that we've been able to join an outdoor pool (with all the appropriate modifications this year), and it's been pretty great. It makes me hate summer one smidge less.

I usually love summer but this one is the pits. First time in my life I’m actually looking forward to winter as we will hopefully be that much closer to an end to this nightmare.

The info coming out about the Oxford vaccine is promising!
