For reasons I won't bore you with here, we are looking for a spring break Spanish immersion camp or any other ways/ideas to get our child as much Spanish as possible in a short period of time. Any suggestions would be welcome. |
Are you willing to travel? Together? If so, there are a ton of programs in Costa Rica and Guatemala that cater to families and would have programs targeted towards your child's age group. Not certain what is available locally. |
Can you post a link or two, or recommend a service? |
Lango in Montgomery County has a Spanish immersion camp during Montg. Co. spring break. not sure if that matches your break. National company - langokids.com |
There are tons of spanish immersion schools in antigua, guatemala. I would highly recommend it! You can stay with a family, the food and city is very beautiful, full of other students, and historic. You can probably do a week but usually 3 or more weeks is preferred. Search on trip advisor and you will learn alot more about the different ones there. (you fly into guatemala city - do not stay there even overnight - go directly to antiqua which is about 1-2 hr drive by shuttle bus). |
We're considering this family Spanish immersion program for spring break. My son is 8. They also have programs in other countries - but we want to combine Spanish immersion with beach and snorkeling and scuba.
