No soccer in DC yet

I wonder when soccer will be allowed in any form in DC. So far no hint of when our kids can get back to even some sort of practice since they aren’t allowing anyone needing a permit. Of course kids can get together on their own but would be nice to be able to get back to at least small practices with teams and coaches. At the rate things are going I guess it doesn’t matter as everyone may have to stop what they are doing again.

I see kids scrimmaging and/ or small group training sessions most times I go by a school in Bethesda or Rockville.

Yes, but that’s Maryland. Nothing allowed in the city of DC.

Our club is doing non-contact, small group practices in dc

Oh they have been playing in DC since May.

And in Columbia. Some teams are definitely practicing full on and playing in tournaments from MD.

Hmm maybe it’s just WCU because they use RFK and RFK isn’t allowing permitted use yet...is Stoddart practicing now in NW?

So why not arrange to have your kid and friends/teammates get together to play or train in one of the Maryland suburbs?

Yes that’s possible but we can already do that in DC informally. I’m wondering when the club will be able to start again. Seems that everyone is playing all around us and it’s annoying to see that our kids can’t start back. But seems most on this forum at VA and MD club members so probably not much insight into what DC soccer will be.
