What is everyone's preschool doing this upcoming year if schools are closed again? This past year we paid for our preschool when there was the emergency closing and for half of April and then the preschool waived the next 2 months. No online learning was provided (other then a few links and the teachers were furloughed. For this upcoming school year we were told that there was going to be a modest tuition increase to account for the smaller number of kids attending (I am totally fine with that especially because the school is very fairly priced) but also we would be expected to continue paying if schools were closed but some form of online learning would be provided though we can give 2 months notice to end payments. I kind of feel like schools can close again indefinitely. I am at a lose of what to do and they are expecting our response in a little over a week. Any suggestions? Is online learning worth it for a 4 year old? |
It depends on the dynamics of your family.
For us, online learning is a hassle for preschoolers. I‘ve agonized (and cried) over the decision but ultimately decided I’m keeping my preschoolers home this year. Mine are 2 and 4. I also have an older daughter in elementary. Can’t imagine having 3 kids on different Zoom schedules every day. |
Online learning is not worth it for a four year old.
You will just have to gamble. |
