which preschools in Fairfax, Falls church will open in Sept. or have already open? What protocol do they use that make you feel confident to send your LO to? social distancing? staggered schedule?

We JUST switched day cares/preschool. We put down $2000 deposit and they have postponed opening until Sept due to FCPS scheduled which they follow. I am so frustrated. They will also charge us for the missed two weeks. FCPS is doing this for training logistical needs which doesn’t apply to day care/ preschool.

Anyone else?

Should I just get a nanny?

Ours opened end of June
They limited the children in the room to 8 children with two teachers.

Only allowing parents to drop off children at front, and taking off shoes.


Increased hand washing and distances where children sleep

Oh and teachers are wearing their masks 24/7


And no, I don’t feel safe exposing my child to an enclosed spaces for 5x out the week

I don’t know what children’s households are practicing


I hired a nanny
