I'm both surprised and not surprised. They seemed to weather the endless, multi-year delays in opening without problems. I'm not a member but receive all their marketing stuff and it seemed like they put a lot of effort and thought in moving to a virtual platform with online classes. They did it so quickly that I thought it might be enough for them to survive. Sure you could get workouts elsewhere for lower/no cost, but if that was my gym, I would have been loyal and supported them. When they sold off all their spin bikes two months ago to members for home classes, I though it was pretty genius because they likely would be able to replace them when they reopen by buying used bikes from all the other gyms that closed. There are some good instructors there and it is a really nice space.
