Ikea beds? For grownups?

Does anyone have a bed from IKEA? One that doesn't take a box spring? Can you recommend it or not?
My husband and I are finally moving out of our full-size mattress and box spring on a metal frame and moving "up" (yes, I know - Ikea. But times are tough.) to a bigger bed. Just not sure about the whole "slatted bed base".
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!

We bought one about three years ago. We have the slats but we also have a tempurpedic mattress so we had to put something down so our bed wouldn't slide through the slats. It looks really pretty but I didn't get the highest quality bed because I had a tight budget and most of it was spent on the mattress.

We just bought one, and I had the same thought-- I never imagined I'd be buying Ikea for my bedroom again -- but they have great prices on latex mattresses and I like the bed. The one thing is that we moved up to a king, and it seems that at least for kings you need to give the center support bar a little extra support (as in, books underneath it) of else it bows a little, and then the slats start sliding off every day or two. It did seem like we could feel a little difference with adjusting the "adjustable" slats.

Skip the slats, they will bow. Just put the mattress on a solid base. Have you looked at Costco-they deliver and have an awesome return policy.

We had a Malm bed for 5 years. It was good enough for the price - very low bed, different from what I was used to before but we loved it. The mattress was also Ikea. We both still have good backs so I don't know about Ikea beds with other mattresses...
