Five Gables Inn & Spa. Centrally located (right on Talbot street, steps from the shopping and restaurants). They are having a special right now, I think. The spa is Aveda, and very relaxing.

Tilghman Island is about 10 minutes past St. Michaels. The Inn is really cute and quiet, and has a great restaurant. Rooms are not as fancy as some other places, but we felt it was more reasonable then some of the other options, and we adored it.

OP here. Thanks for the replies so far. I'd be going in season (after April 1) and the problem is that Five Gables and Perry Cabin require a 2 night stay that time of year (Perry Cabin is a little larger than what I was looking for anyway). Tilghman said they would do one night since it is early season but their brunch is not included and I'd rather be in St Michaels.

Any suggestions for a B & B in St Michaels that would let me do Saturday night only in April?

If you're willing to wing it, the Five Gables will let you do one night if there are any rooms left come week's end. You can also get a huge discount on the room that way. DH and I have done that twice now and gotten fantastic deals. On the flip side, if they're all sold out you're out of luck.
