We are having our roof and siding color changed and I need to pick a color for the accent stone. Its a small amount of stone near the front of the house.
Siding will be blue, door and shutters will be black. Roof color will be a dark charcoal. Walkway and steps are flagstone I believe this is the siding color. Any suggestions for what color the accent stone should be? |
| I don’t understand, is the stone going on the house? Imo don’t do it. Just do siding. |
I know exactly what you mean:
I would go with something in the yellow/beige color family. But honestly the stone is all neutral, so you can’t go wrong with any choice. |
The stone will be in the front bottom of the porch. Currently there is brick, which I would like to replace. The house will be all siding. The porch stone will be about 7’ x 4’. |
Just get samples and look at them in place. |

I wouldn't go for anything in the brown/beige family for a blue and black house. |
OP here and I just realized my siding color didn't post. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/552253973050947925/ |
| I would go grey with blue undertones. I think the tan would look weird -- like wearing light colored shoes with dark pants and top. The botton middle one, which is grey with sold gold tones, might be okay also. |
Just start googling images of blue stone houses and see what you like. This combination looks pretty good:

| I would stick with something in the cool color family. So more blue/gray. |
| A little bit of brown/beige tone can add visual interest, but many of the pictures above that use warmer stone also have a wooden door or some brown in their roof. Sounds like you won't have that, which means you may have to stick with something like the gray southern ledgestone. I'm not a fan of the specked formstone in pic #4 though. |
