| Any clubs starting full contact for practices now that today we begin phase 3? |
I heard contact would be phased in slowly, not right away. |
|
So I read in the Soccer is BACK thread that VYSA put out that matches are allowed starting July 1 with Phase 3. However, I received an email from one of my referee assignors that US soccer has different criteria for Phase 3 and games can't start yet. This is what is says...
Virginia is in Phase 3 which means teams may start to practice US Soccer has it's own set of Phases and you can go to: www.ussoccer.com/playon Right now they are in Phase 2 and if all goes well they will move to Phase 3 by the end of July. Phase 3 will allow games to begin. EACH referee will have to make sure they read the US Soccer guidelines BEFORE they referee their first games. PLEASE stay healthy & SAFE Can anyone explain why the two different messages...and which is legit or most legit. Thanks |
| I think phase 3 means everyone on field but no contact until phase 4. ECNL |
This is a quote for VYSA's Return to Play Guidelines for Phase 3..... "*Per Virginia Governors Office, matches are permitted during Phase 3" |
Our club's guidance for phase 3 says no physical contact. |
| Sounds like everyone is doing their own thing. Teams have guidelines, clubs have guidelines, leagues have guidelines, states have guidelines, and us soccer has guidelines....and sometimes they are the same. : ) |
| Our team is reaching out for scrimmages starting in about two weeks. Full contact but will probably break the game up into "quarters". |
| We're supposed to do scrimmaging at practice tonight after first few weeks of distancing during drills. |
Who is we? Just NOVA? Definitely not us in Moco. |

Phase 3 of the state reopening is not the same as the return to play phases.
Most of us just moved to the VYSA phase 2 of return to play. |
