Phase 3 starts tomorrow, what's your pool doing?

I haven't seen a lot of discussion about what NOVA pools are doing for Phase 3. What's the plan? and are pools delaying moving into Phase 3? I don't get it- it starts tomorrow.

We are now allowed to have 200 people there and don’t have to be constantly moving.

Similar to Phase 2. Keeping table and pool section reservations. One family in a section but they can now participate in recreational swim while maintaining at least 10' from other families (which is the main reason we are still sectioning off the pool). Family members can now be within 10' of each other and we are not limiting the number of family members to 3 in the pool at a time. The baby pool will open to one family at a time.

We have a limited number of tables to reserve which will limit our capacity. If every table is reserved with 4 at each table that would put us at about 40% of max capacity (deck and pools) and that is probably not likely to happen. My guess is at the "busiest" times we will be closer to 30% which would be an average of 3 people per table if they are all being used.

I was waiting for guidance from our pool, and nothing. But they also weren't taking any reservations beyond yesterday. Suddenly, either late last night or early this morning, reservations became available for today and tomorrow following the same protocols used throughout Phase 2. So until at least the weekend, our pool isn't making any changes.

that would really frustrate me.

We have two large pools, wading/intermediate pool, dive well and slide (in addition to tennis courts, basketball court, etc. which is still by reservation only). Went into phase 3 today. One pool is still lane reservation - 1 lane per family per hour. The other pool with the slide and dive well is completely open - no reservations - just limit on total people and social distancing in pool. I think same for wading/intermediate pool. 1 of 2 dive boards does require a reservation, the other is open with limits to how many can be in line.

Our pool still refuses to open. They say *maybe* July 15th with a million different rules and precautions, but at this point I’m guessing they’ll just punt it for the year which is EXTREMELY frustrating and disappointing.

Our pool is the same lane reservation system as its been for Phase 2. I was hoping that we would be able to schedule time for the pool with other families rather than staying in our own lanes.

It’s tricky because pools are supposed to ensure that non-households stay at least 10’ apart.

00:25 here. We just got back from the pool a little bit ago and it was a good experience. I counted about 16 people total (not counting guards).

Ours opened today. We could sign up for 90 min blocks at one of two pools. Capacity is quite limited, but it's actually great once you are there because it means everyone who is there has lots of room. My kids and I were able to swim in several different parts of the pool and stay quite far away from others, as the other groups were also rotating around to different areas. I am glad they aren't letting more people in because if they did we would have to stay in one small quadrant, and my kids would get bored of that. 90 minutes was just the right amount of time for my young kids. They wore themselves out swimming that whole time, and I didn't have to deal with multiple requests to get out and have a snack because food/drink is not allowed. The younger one kept asking to go to the baby pool and I felt bad having to say no because we weren't signed up for it. No one was actually in it, but I think they would have said no if I asked whether we could go in because it could create confusion among other guests. My older one is technically too old for it anyway.

It is certainly a different experience this year but after being home for so long it is SO nice to have somewhere to go with them that feels safe.

Nothing, unfortunately. The called the season long closure prior to Memorial Day.
