Where would you go last minute in February?

Anonymous
We are unexpectedly going to take a little vaca the last week in February. It's so last minute that I don't even know where we may want to go. I'm thinking nowhere too cold (doing ski trip already). I'd love to take a trip to somewhere warm but thinking along the lines of a city with pool vacation since we'll have our 10-month-old in tow. A beach vaca with an infant doesn't sound very relaxing. The only other caveat is that we'd need to be able to rent an apartment rather than hotel room so that we have a door to close at night when the baby does to bed.

Any ideas, suggestions, recommendations welcome!!

Bedford Springs Resort (Omni hotel) comes to mind. While in the mountains of PA it has an indoor pool, spa and restaurants on site. In the evening they have a fire pit for s'mores and other family-friendly activities. While it is a resort I don't think it would be entertaining past 2 nights based on the size and amenities but it's renovated, beautiful, has an AMAZING view from most rooms and the staff is very friendly. HTH.

A hotel suit would work also in lieu of an apartment. Puerto Rico?

What about Key West? Warm weather, laid back and fun, but not a "beach" vacation. You could take nice walks with the stroller.

We just took our 2 year old and 11 month old to key west and then up to Marathon ( Tranquility Bay ). Had a blast. Lots to look at in Key West - although, it is a fairly boozy town. There is a butterfly conservatory that both of our kids LOVED. Our pool at Tranquility Bay had a zero entry that the 11 month old could play at and was so much fun. You could also look at Sanibel or one of the other gulf coast areas.
