Low/borderline Betas still lead to successful pregnancy?

Anonymous
I am technically pregnant though my beta levels have been on the low side. First one was 86 (they wanted to see 100), second one 72 hours later was 166. The nurse said this is within the normal range though the numbers are not great.

Anyone been through this and ended up with a healthy baby? Obviously it’s still early and a lot can happen.

With DS my beta levels were always super high so I’m facing this for the first time and having a lot of anxiety.

How many DPO were those betas?

15 dpo for the first beta, 18 dpo for the second.

My first beta (14dpd3t=17dpo) was 80. I don't remember the rest, but it lead to a healthy pregnancy. My nurse didn't think it was a problem. My really low betas (10 and 20 on 14dpo etc) miscarried. Whats important is that it continues to rise at a good rate (doubles every two or three days)

thank you, that's reassuring

I would prepare yourself for the worst, and hopefully be pleasantly surprised. I’m sorry.

Agree with this. My only successful pregnancy was 96 at 13dpo and doubled to 215 on 15dpo.

All my others were wonky
Spontaneous pregnancy was 37 on 12dpo and then tanked
FET was 57 at 13dpo and 72 at 15dpo then nosedived
Another failed FET was only 22 at 14dpo

Fingers crossed - i know the range for normal is huge.

My first beta with my first kiddo was 89 at 14 DPIUI, but it more than doubled to 196 at 16 DPIUI. It's hard to say but my fingers are crossed for you.

My first beta at 15dpo was 24. Doubled every other day for a week then slowed down. My healthy baby boy was born 8 months later. Take betas with a grain of salt.

My two successful pregnancies (1 FET, 1 natural conception) both started with very high betas and doubled quickly. The only pregnancy I had with low betas (50 at the equivalent of 16 dpo - FET) ended up being ectopic, even though the number doubled appropriately.

I had two early miscarriages that had starting betas at 15 DPO around 50-60. The blighted ovum doubles, the chemical did not. Currently on a third pregnancy with a starting beta of 100 at 15 DPO and it doubled. Waiting for an early ultrasound to confirm it’s not another BO.

My fist IVF, my 15 DPO was 65. My numbers doubled slowly but that pregnancy has now turned into a perfectly healthy 13 year old.

My first HCG test was 72. I can’t remember the rest, but I had slow rising HCG. It didn’t double every 48-72 as it should’ve, and my RE was starting to get concerned. By my 4th HCG blood test, my number finally sky rocketed. I now have a healthy 2 month old.
