I am curious how players are expected to be ready to compete in Jeff cup and other tournaments when they can’t compete or get close to each other in training. Is this not asking for a crazy amount of injuries?

It is. And your concerns are genuine and valid. However, we both know parents here NEED their child to get that exposure cause you know... scholarships and such. Complicated state of affairs.

A month is more than enough time with unlimited substitutions.

I don't think any public health official has signed off on the Jefferson Cup. It's all being pushed by the club at this point. Ask again in a few weeks and we'll see if it is still going ahead. At this point I'm 50-50 (whereas 10 days ago I thought it was pretty likely).

They’re kids. They’re not old like us. They can handle it. Still not sure there will actually be a tournament, but kids would love to play if there is.

Since the NCAA blackout was pushed to August 31, not sure that Jeff cup and other tournaments will happen.

Looking at the Strikers' most recent published 990- 2.3 million in revenue from tournaments and 2.8 from registrations. Now that they've pushed it to an allowable date, they've put themselves in a position where they can't use government bans as an excuse to cancel without refunds. I don't see any chance they blow an even bigger hole in their budget by not going forward
