| Will our Local clubs survive a 2nd wave. How can parents help. |
Easy. Continue paying team fees and get members to donate too. |
Keep your kids at home if they are feeling unwell. |
depends on cost structure- large clubs with high overhead may not fare so well |
No, they absolutely won’t. Which is why you’ve witnessed the thefts that occurred in the past few months. |
You really think the crazy soccer mom or dad is going to keep their kid at home? That’s two weeks without soccer...the kid will lose their form. Some will not even tell the club the kid is sick. |

I have to admit this has been the most shocking revelation to me during this pandemic: the absolute 'play at any cost' attitude that exist amongst some soccer parents. You see it here occasionally on DCUM, but if you go to some other sites like the Facebook Soccer Parents group you'll see it in full force from all over the country. Families who have pinned absolutely everything on that college scholarship going tooth and nail to get back on the field no matter what. Just been a real shocker. I sort of trust my club to do their best, but really don't trust some of the parents on our side to follow the rules. Not sure what we will do when we start practice next month. |
Parents can avoid unnecessary crowds. Avoid going to gyms and bars. |
