Hourly rate for high school sitters?

In the past, we've hired high school students (juniors) to babysit our two children (ages 3 and 6), and paid $12/hour. Now that the minimum wage is going up to $15/hour in DC (where we live), it occurred to me that perhaps our rate is too low. What do others pay high school sitters? I realize that these sitters are minors, so perhaps they should not be paid comparably to adults doing the same job.

$15/hour and give a $50 min, whether you need them for 1 hour or 3.

I am in Moco but pay our HS sitter a set amount regardless of hours.....Generally we need 345-615 2 days a week for one kid.
We pay $30 for this. Now say my kid is in camp ( last summer( til 4 and is getting dropped off at 415, we still pay $30.

If the time goes past 630 we do pay extra but it hasnt in 4 years.

In Moco too. We have a Freshman (well, now rising Sophomore) that babysits for us. Saturday nights we pay her $15/hr. She's babysitting this summer from 9-1 M-Th and we're paying her $50/day. We're both home. One kid.

I have a 15 year old for 1 child. I am paying 12 (her request). She has been coming for a few hours during the week and I am typically home working. She just started but I plan on upping the amount soon.

You are under paying her.
