I have a 2009 Honda Accord.
For the past two weeks or so, each & every time I use my vehicle the control panel shows a light signaling that the Drivers side door is open. Trust me, I have checked that door 💯x over. I also have checked not just the remaining other three doors / and the trunk as well (even though the only illuminated one is the driver’s side.) It normally wouldn’t be an issue since the car still drives normally. But while driving the door locks lock, then unlock throughout my drive. Also, the interior light keeps going on then off again, I hate driving w/these distractions! Anyone experienced this annoying dilemma? Is it a costly fix? |
| Have you tried disconnecting battery cables and reconnect? |

OP Here, no I have not.
Could it possibly be a battery issue? |
| Maybe it's a fuse? |
|
Have you googled it?

It's almost certainly the door switch.
Less than $5. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/honda,2009,accord,2.4l+l4,1443201,electrical-switch+&+relay,door+jamb+switch,4360 |
Yes but came up w/a few different possibilities. Some not in layman’s terms. |
Thx for this. I hope that is what it is. I had my battery tested & was told the battery is still very good. (Have had it brand-new about five mos.) |

Easy fix.
Just spray some WD40 on the door latch, let it sit for a few minutes then open/close the door about 4-5 times. The door latch probably just got stuck. But using the WD40 will loosen it up. |
