Yes. Please look at the websites of various soccer clubs and email the specific coach in the age group.

LMFAO everyone is now doing tryouts. Did you honestly think they’d go with online tryouts? Pah-lease

The more tryouts ads you see by the same clubs the more desperate they are...

I think other than Bethesda’s mass tryouts the other MD clubs like Potomac and Achilles are scheduling individual tryouts via email.

We are figuring out try outs for our son. All outdoor camps, clinics and athletic meetings have to be a certain size according to CDC and the state. I think I will have him do a summer soccer camp too. Thank goodness something to go outside!

OP-Ahh ok. Many did not say on their websites where they hold the tryouts. This week is hectic to try to coordinate multiple tryouts. Does anyone know where Potomac, Achilles or Stoddert are having the tryouts? Before I email want to be sure it is reasonably convenient.

Try outs are for lower teams. First and second teams have long since been picked.

In other words: tryouts are for clubs looking to rake in more $ to pay for coaches

So even BSC top teams are full?

Next year’s team was filled last January. Absent your kid being a Messi with a previous club or coach to testify to that you are trying out for the second or third team.

This is true but keep in mind their lower teams are still well coached so there is still a market.

I am not familiar with higher age group, but for lower age group, I have not seen pre-academy boy BSC team full rostered, so there is always room for exceptional player.

MSI Classic has started posting tryouts, and many teams are in Bethesda. Much less expensive than some of the other clubs, and depending on the team/division, excellent competition.

Our Blue (2d) team was poorly coached. Practices were dull and simplistic and during games all was thrown out for ‘kick it long and run’

And this was a US Soccer A level coach.

Name? I’d like to avoid said coach. Oh I hate to break it to you but those licenses 90% don’t mean anything.
USSF hands out those ‘diplomas’ like candy as long as you pay and submit your assignments.
