13 year old downloaded chaturbate on his computer, need help

Anonymous
How can I get this off his windows computer. He has asked me to prevent him from watching it (has severe adhd and poor impulse control). How do I protect him from himself? I am the opposite of computer literate. I have read that this is adware and it messes up the computer and also can't be found by name to erase off computer. There are lots of sites that claim to remove it. Is there one I can trust? I've spent hours on this and I am befuddled. Will someone please help me? TIA.

Please explain what that is so we don't have to look it up and accidentally download it

Why not take it to a place like Best Buy that has geek squad? Of course I don’t know if they are open...

In fairness to OP, if you don’t even know what it is, you likely aren’t going to be able to provide an answer to her question.

You might try malwarebytes, run a scan and it should clean it. You can use a free trial if you don’t want to pay for it. Assuming it’s a windows pc.

I dont know what this is but Id take it to Geek squad and have them run a full virus check, install something like mcafee and set up parental controls so he can’t download further crap.

OP again- sorry. It’s a live web cam porn site.

If someone can tell me a specific utility tool that I can purchase to get it off the computer I would appreciate it. Will also try geek squad if they’re open. Thank you.

not a computer guy, but I may be able to help....

in your windows search bar type in "remove program"

and click on it.

\it will pull you into the settings area of windows. on the right hand side of the screen you will see a list of programs on your computer

scroll down until you see the program you are looking for.

left click. it will highlight and you will get a grey box that pops up to modify or uninstall. click uninstall.

you may need to reboot your computer.

You should also look into a good nanny software. There are some that will filter out most (not all) porn, prevent files downloaded and installed, etc.

Any to recommend that a 13 year old can't hack? TIA

Worst case, backup his personal files, reinstall the operating system, put his files back on.

Google Qustodio, it’s software that blocks inappropriate content and also provides parents with tracking/insight as to what your kid is doing online.

OP here. Thanks. I’ll look at it.

Diseny Circle device which is a piece of hardware that limits not just content but the time spent online.
