We are feeling quite torn over whether to send our DD(4) to pre-k when it reopens. They require masks and have made a number of changes, seem inflexible on refunding our tuition in case of covid related closures etc. If your child will/will not attend pre-k in fall, what are some of the reasons that attributed to your choice?

I've responded on similar threads with the same answer: our daycare never closed, we pulled our kids out for about 6 weeks from mid-March to early May, we sent them back because it was best for all of us. Kids are thriving and parents are as sane as we can be. |
No thanks not going |
Still undecided although we haven't heard back from preK concerning if they will even open. I'm leaning towards yes but they'll be wearing a face shield along with a mask. |
My daughter started back today. We're a little nervous, but she was excited to get back. Plus we need to get some work done. Her school has enhanced safety measures; daily temperature checks, no parents allowed in the building (they greet your child upon arrival), mask required at drop off/pick up for parents, and increased surface clearing. Her school has always been concerned with cleaning and disinfecting, so I trust that they're doing a good job. Some parents were going the whole time (they only closed for about a month) and the parents who kept going reported that they were handling it very well. |
