DMV appointment for permit

I need to make appointment for my DC to get his permit in Virginia. I tried looking at the website to make appointment but it keeps on showing no appointment available.
Any pointers?
Anyone else whose child was able to get permit appointment please help.

They open up 30 days in advance. Check multiple locations and do it first thing and you shouldn’t have an issue. I have a few friends who just did this and I’m making DD’s appt this week.

I did see some available on 7/21 for a few nearby locations yesterday.

Thank you. Around what time did you check ? We have checked at midnight and morning around 7am from my cell phone. May be I will try laptop next time.

They were there at like 9pm last night. Good luck.

Also, a friend posted this morning that the entire appt was 40 minutes in and out. A vast improvement over the 3 hours I spent with my first-born.
