Infertility Support and Discussion

I did the long lupron protocol in the fall and the cycle was cancelled because I only produced 3 eggs. I'm now on the micro flare protocol and I'm scared of not responding again. My hormone numbers aren't really bad. My last test the FSH 8.1, LH 1.5 and the estrogen was 70. This is the worst they've been since I've been seeing the RE. In the summer my numbers were FSH 7.1., LH 3.4 and estrogen 36.
Does anyone have an experience with both protocols and how did it work for you. At this point I'm not even worried about getting pregnant. I'm more concerned about even responding to the drugs. |
| I'm sorry - I never did the flare so I can't give you advice, but I'm a really poor responder and I know how horrible a feeling it is to be scared that you're going to have a poor response. I wish you the best. |
| I was a poor responder at 32 -the flare protocol worked for me. Good luck! |

i did well on the long lupron protocol and my response to microdose was awful.
hopefully, it will work the other way around for you. |
Out of curiosity, which protocol did you do first? My understanding is that the long lupron is a little more standard and used first. |

i did long lupron first. first cycle, got 17 eggs and then second time was oversuppressed due to the lupron and bcps and got only 11. to avoid oversupression, moved to flare, which was a disaster as i not only got fewer eggs, but also immature ones.

OP here. I did the long lupron first and only produced 3 eggs and now I'm doing the microdose flare. I am hoping that this works. I'm 41, but it is just in the past 6 months or so that I've seen a rapid decline in my hormone numbers.
I've done 2 stim shots so far and I'm feeling something going on down there. I also have a headache that won't go away. Both can be considered side effects of the drugs. I felt absolutely nothing on the long lupron protocol, so I am hoping this is a good sign. |
