Shampoo/conditioner for fine hair

Anonymous
I'm getting tired of using Biolage and am looking for something new. I tried samples of Christophe smoothing shampoo and loved it, but it looks like it has been discontinued. Any suggestions for shampoo/conditioner that doesn't weigh your hair down?

I have extremely fine hair. I don't use a conditioner in the shower. Instead, I use a color protector spray that also conditions after towel-drying. It's leave in. Absolutely no feel to it and totally weightless. This is the big new trend in hair care. Check out your salon - every one has something similar.

I'm interested in finding out more about this. I have super fine/straight hair but it's not colored/dyed/highllighted. Does it still make sense to use color protector just as a conditioner?

I use Biolage too, but my stylist also recommends the Graham Webb stuff in the orange bottles. I think it's called Velvet Soft. My hair is super fine, but also very dry and when I've used it, it doesn't weigh it down.

Several people have recommended Aveda Thickening shampoo and conditioner. I just ordered both online, so we'll see how it goes.

17:16 - I am the pp to whom you refer. There are leave-in conditioning sprays that simply detangle. They are weightless and a godsend to those of us with stick-straight ultra-fine hair.

I'm almost embarrassed to admit I use the "sexy hair" line - the strong sexy hair variety. It's hard to find now; I have to order it online but it's worth it. I have ridiculously fine AND thin hair. In fact, when my regular hair person was on leave, the replacement said "oh, cute! you never lost your baby hair!" Not amused.

The Kerastase (sp?) volumizing set is wonderful. Love it.

Bath and Body works orange ginger. (Even though I hate walking under that freaking gingham canopy.)
