High school fall soccer?

What are the odds school soccer will be played this fall? I am guessing no. What say DCUM?

If the season started in July, theyd be playing. Maryland counties are starting to plan for tryouts and practices.

Only time will tell how bad this 2nd wave is.

I would guess no just because I feel like schools are going to want to look like they are erring on the side of caution, regardless of how much sense it makes.

On the bright side, maybe this will finally get MD high schools on a Spring schedule like Virginia.

Our HS coach thinks they’ll have SD training mostly. He’s hoping to have some games eventually. The schedule is out but who knows if they’ll get to play.

I am wondering because schools are taking starting virtual and/or half kids every other day. How can you social distance on a soccer field?

Ain’t happening. And we already discussed the following: we are not moving football to spring to save their season.

Fall sports ain’t happening. Spring soccer will most likely take place.
