Hiring a broker

Has anyone hired a broker to represent them in the purchase or lease of a car? I reached out to one but wondering what the cost is and if they pay for themselves.

That's so cheap. Is that through one of the companies or just an individual broker?

Why? I just emailed every dealer in the area what I wanted/custom order and negotiated with those who would till I got the price I wanted, went in and bought. Done.

I did Costco, Penfed and USAA and did better negotiating on my own.
