| I keep on seeing concerns about what pools are doing. I'm curious which pools are doing well with communications/ setting up fair systems for member access, etc. If you are happy with what your pool is doing, ideally name the pool- but if you are not willing to do that- identify what they did that is working. |

Phase 1 was organized and went smoothly. Rules went out through email and were posted on Facebook. A video went out explaining how to reserve a lane for lap swim. We signed up for a lane on the club’s website and received an email confirmation. We did not enter through the guard house but rather through a wide gate when the guard met us and let us in. Masks required when entering/leaving or using the restroom. Hand sanitizing stations were installed. Each person could sign up for one 45 minute lap swim a day. The last 15 minutes of each hour block were used to clean. The deck was closed.
Before Phase 2 started we received the operating plan (rules). We also received another video explaining the new rules and changes to the reservation system. No each membership can sign up for two 1.5 hour blocks every six days, but if there is an open slot you can reserve it within 30 minutes of the start and it doesn’t count against your maximum. You still get the email confirmation. There are tables and chair groupings set up more than 10’ apart around th deck. They are numbered and correspond with a numbered lane. Families have to stay at their own table and in their own lane, no more than 3 per lane and keeping 10’. Anyone can use the diving board and there are “Stand here” distancing stickers on the deck. I saw kids in line standing on the stickers. There are an additional 3 or 4 tables set up for deck use only. Those who want to go and not swim are encouraged to use those tables. Those tables can use the dive well for a quick jump in. There are distancing marks on the sidewalk outside the guard house. Families are already checked in by reserving so one family at a time enters the guard house and there are two acrylicdividers between them and the guards. The guards ask the name and run through a list of Covid questions. You have to answer no to all to be admitted and the name, date and time is recorded on a log. The symptoms are also listed on a large poster board. When you make the reservation you also have to agree to meeting the Covid symptom and exposure requirements. People really seem to like being able to reserve. Most 1.5 hour blocks have plenty of empty tables. I was there yesterday at 3 and maybe 15-20 people were there. The baby pool is closed. At the 1.5 hour mark an announcement is made letting people know the time and asking them to clear the deck to allow for cleaning. They ask us to make sure we have all of our belongings. Then the guards spray each used chair, table, umbrella pole, the diving board rails and ladders with disinfectant. It sits for 3 minutes and then they wipe it down. After the chairs are cleaned the push forward the back of the lounge chair or tilt forward the chair against the table to show it has been done. Each table grouping has 2 chairs and 2 lounges. If you need an extra chair there are stacks around the perimeter behind the tables. You can take a clean chair but you don’t put it back. The guards do that after it is cleaned. The pavilion is closed, grills off limits, no guests, probably other things I’m not thinking of off hand. |

When we exit we go out through the gate, not the guard house. |
| Update, OP? |
Did anyone have any fun? |
| Did you skip having 15 minutes breaks every hour since families are limited to 1.5 hours? |
9:31/10:13 here. Lifeguards are not calling break. It is 1.5 hours straight. |
We have a five minute break, about 40 minutes in from the start. Then the next time they blow the whistle is to clear the pool. It’s been working well at our pool. |
Our guards make an announcement after 1.5 hours. Same thing, working well so far. |
