Maybe she has done with solely with clean living and cutting out alcohol, and if so, more power to her but if I was a betting woman I'd place my entire 401K on Sarah has been going hard with $1500 a month insulin blocking shots.

If she is, why can't she just admit it? Her brand if all about authenticity, right? She's the dearest of the dearest and most preciously true voice in the world, right? Or is she just another big phony?

I do want to say, I’m 46 and have lost 40 lbs and transformed my whole body this last year. I did it with mindful eating, heavy weight training and no alcohol. It sucks to lose weight the hard way in the age of ozempic, because people immediately assume it’s that. “You’re so skinny all of a sudden!” No actually it’s taken 12 whole months and a lot of discipline.

I specifically remember Jen’s Mother’s Day rant from several years ago, calling out Brandon and saying that her “gift” for Mother’s Day should be NOT having to get anyone else a gift (i.e. her mother in law or mom).

Today, she wants us all to get EVERYONE a gift, including ourselves, with her special codes. Lol.

Jen’s “values” are dictated by money, fame, and opportunities. Now she really needs money so everything is all about selling crap to people. That’s her main “value” at the moment.

Do we think Jen will publish a new book this year?

After all she's been through post FFF, I would be eager to read it. I think out of her internet besties, she is probably the best writer/storyteller, then Jamie Wright, then Kristen, then Bessey. Tara Livesay has hinted that she has a book contract and I would LOVE to hear her story, too.
I used to read every one of Sarah Goodfellow's blog posts when they were in Peru. She could tell an interesting story, too.

Jamie is a less disciplined story-structurer than Jen, and Kristen can't suppress the snark even in tender moments. Bessey is pure word salad and actually boring.

Jamie was supposed to be working on another book but I guess she is just busy with life now. Good for her.

Jamie Ivey is someone in Jen's TX circle that I tried to read, but just couldn't. I don't know how much to blame on her writing or her editor? Jennie Allen also has shades of Bessey and never arrives fully at a point.
Will Sass write another book?

Well Jen did do a big NYC publisher tour a few months ago with her literary agent but since then crickets. Who knows? What's the market for her in 2024-2025? She hasn't published a real book or a memoir for 4 plus years. The cook book doesn't count and I don't think that sold very well at all. The world has moved on in a lot of ways, I fear. Jen is old news. And old voice.

Sarah Bessey is the worst of the lot, IMO. So twee and precious and so so dear and so so precious. And never really saying anything but using a lot of dear and precious words.

Jamie is the best of the lot. She has a real voice and can be laugh out loud funny. She doesn't seem to really want to be a working writer anymore, though. And I say, good for her. This influencer thought leader guru world is toxic and ultimately pointless. Plus there are a lot of new, younger, fresher voices coming up.

Jen has reached the publish or perish stage in her career. She's struggling to say anything new or interesting or meaningful. I mean, her podcast now is so repetitive. How many times can she cover the same topics? Like "Change"? Her eyes must glaze over rehashing these same topics over and over and over again.

I hope Big Siss isn't praying for a big, new book advance. Cause that's probably not going to happen. Her Bookscan numbers are brutal.

She has had some A list guests, and still can't get the podcast off the ground well. I think she needs to invest in producing the podcast more. James Clear (!) was her recent guest that I actually tried to watch. The audio quality was so bad that I only watched 1/3 of it, and I really wanted to hear this interview. The intro almost lost me, as Jen almost went full Tom Bilyeu in introducing Clear; the lead in to his talk was one giant drone about how long Atomic Habits has been a NYTBS. Tom Bilyeu is barely tolerable with his overwrought fan boy intros of even the most mediocre guests. But, production value-wise, Impact Theory blows For The Love out of the water. Jen can't keep broadcasting from her she shed.

Jen has a legit bookshelf full of published work, and could EASILY get a job as a writer-in-residence at a local college and help younger writers. I wish her friends would counsel her to do something like this, so she can put down some roots and get ready for this next stage of life. I predict Gavin will be a dad in a couple of years, tops. I wish this for Jen. To get to be a grandma and have an expanded family. I also wish she would jettison Sass and find a real adult man.

Great observation. As much as I want Jen to find love again, I have to think- what kind of guy wants to be with her? Not being snarky- but if she could play up the good parts of her life (her close relationship with family, her love of cooking and travel/adventure, still looks nice for almost 50), she could be a decent companion to a man looking for a partner for the emptying nest phase. But if her shilling and her narcissism and relentless anger at the church etc continues, why on earth would a sane person want to share that life?

No snark but Jen has a lot of offer. She's smart, very hard working, attractive, accomplished. What sets her back, though, is her gross materialism, inauthenticity, and sanctimonious anger at people and church organizations she resents. Which is ironic given her privilege within those circles and the fact that she literally built a church in her own image.

sanctimonious anger at people

She seems perpetually angry about things she can't control. She even described going out for a nice dinner with Sass but all they could talk about was some sad news story about who knows what. I'm sorry, but I want my dinner convo to be light. There are a million other things to talk about. Maybe they do deserve each other. Will they last the year? Does he ever come stay at her house?
