On one hand, this sounds miserable. On the other hand, I need child care. My kid is four; would you send your kid to this camp or figure out something else? The masks will be worn all day.
The weeks have fun themes that are incorporated in all activities. We will be socially distant while dancing, acting, creating visual art, singing, and playing games. Our group sizes are limited to 9 children with an adult in each room. We have developed protocols to include regular hand washing, use of face coverings throughout the day, gloves, and increased sanitizing of the space to ensure the safety of everyone. The day will not include pool instead we will have a morning and afternoon outdoor play time. This is one of time when gloves should be worn. Sharing balls, frisbees, jump ropes, hula hoops, etc require use of protective barriers like light weight knit (winter hand coverings) or cloth gloves (gardening style). Participants will need the following: cloth mask (2 recommended) cloth gloves (2 pair recommended) personal thermometer for temperature checks (does not have to be contact-less) food for AM/PM snacks and lunch refillable water bottle |
| If I needed childcare, definitely they will adjust. I considered it for my kid but decided no based on two things 1) I'm working at home so can have her home with me 2) she's been going to day camps for 4 years, so would really feel the differences this year. |

The cloth gloves are pointless.
I wouldn't want my kid wearing a mask all day. Is it your absolutely only option to put food on the table? |

Not aged 4
No. Please don't do this to your kid. |
| I’d look for other options and use it as a very last resort. A mask all day would be miserable and hard to enforce at that age. |
| I don’t understand the gloves. I’m pretty familiar with the Phase 2 standards for childcare and while it does recommend gloves for adults for a number of tasks, there is no protocol for kids to wear them. If the kid wipes their nose and touches a ball, it doesn’t really matter if their hands are bare or gloved. |
