We're torn between Nora (me) or Audrey (DH).
Older siblings are Ryan, Ben, and Kate. Any other names that sound similar? |
| Nora. They are all short strong and start with consonants |
| I have an Audrey and I love it! It's not too popular. We get a lot of compliments on it. |
| Nora goes better with the sibling set, but I like Audrey better overall |
| I like either one. Not too common. |
|
prefer Cora to Nora
also consider Leah Tessa Are Kate and Ben given names or is it Katherine and Benjamin? If the latter, I'd add Victoria to the list. |
I can't tell if this is a joke or if you don't live in the DC area. Both are very common here. |
| there are more than one Audrey in my little one's class. They have to use their last name initials. There aren't any Nora's, though. I think that goes well with your other children's names. |
Perhaps because my kids are older? My kids don't know that many Noras or Audreys. |
| Soooooo many Audreys |
OP may not care about popularity, but because we're talking about it now: In DC in 2018, Nora tied for #9, Audrey tied for #60. Nationally, Nora was #30, Audrey was #46. |
Elinor/Nora would go with Katherine/Kate |
|
I like both names! And I think they all sort of fit in with your sibling names.
I have a kid in preschool right now and none of the kids in his class are Audrey or Nora. I've met a few here or there, but neither is saturated. I've found it's a bit of luck with who lands in your class at school. |
Eleanor is a very popular name in this area and most Eleanors use Nora as a nickname. Additionally, Nora is also a standalone popular name. In 2018 Eleanor was ranked 32 and Nora 30. Since both names go by Nora it’s effectively one of the most common names heard at the playground and preschools. Audrey was ranked 46 so definitely much less popular than Nora. |
| I think Nora fits much better with your other kids’ names. |
