At what age did your DD start shaving her legs?

Mine is 12 and is just now starting to look like she need it.

I believe 11. Dark hair. She asked, I said yes.

Mine is only 3, but I remember having shaving parties with my friends when we were 10/11. We were weird kids.

My dd started at 10, she has dark hair though so it showed more than fair haired girls.

12 sounds about right. My mom wouldn't let me shave at 12 or even at 13 and I got mocked mercilessly in middle school - I am ghost-pale with a good amount of dark hair. I cringe just thinking about it.

I was wondering if kids still shave. I’ve offered to help both of my DDs, and they refused. I thought maybe more kids are going natural? They seem really unselfconscious about it, even the pits.

They’ll start wanting to shave their armpits when they start to develop body odor.

My dd started shaving her armpits last year at 11, but has yet to want to shave her legs. I think she had planned to before swim team but that was cancelled .

I thought swimmers didn’t shave until right before competitions, to shave (pun intended ) time off their laps?

My child is only 6 so not there yet but I distinctly remember going to summer camp in 1995 when I was 10 years old. I got my period at camp so had clearly already started puberty. I was pretty embarrassed that I hadn't shaved my legs before because many of my bunkmates had.

This is me also, I was dealing with periods at 10 and body hair well over a year before, luckily my mom had supplied me with razors.
At camp several of us girls would shave together. They were around 11/12 and were surprised I was already shaving and even more surprised I was having periods when some of them were still waiting.

My 9 year old has started asking if she shave her legs.
I was kind of on the fence at first but I plan to show her tomorrow so will have a shaving session in the bathroom plus it will provide a great segway to talk to her about puberty and periods.

Yeah, I got my period the day before the last day of 5th grade, when I was 11. It sucked so much. :/

My older sister taught me when I was 11.
