DC parents: have you found ANY open camps that will take your kids?

Anonymous
With Maryland barring out of state kids, are we all just shit out of luck? Every camp we’ve signed up for has cancelled or told us our kids can’t come because we live in DC. Has anyone found any open options?

Someone said yMCA camps are still running? I'm holding that as my backup option if Flex ever refunds me

KOA has a camp where they send a counselor to you and a few of your friends - if you can recruit some neighbors, you could do this.

Thanks for the info on VA camps. Any suggestions for an outdoorsy one?

Yes but I think they're only opening registration today to those who had already registered for their regular camps?

Hooped said DC kids we're out of state to them in Moco...so you could just go with it?

Calleva VA registration is only open to the kids who registered for those weeks first. Assume it will be filled by those kids.

DC Way soccer camp and BusyBees are going forward.

Congo camp (but it is expensive and may be full). Also Virginia Outdoors of you can organize a group of kids for the camp

Congo camp is insanely expensive- $4400 for 6 weeks and you have to commit for all 6 weeks. It’s like $750/wk
