Home Day Care Provider Has Very Large Gathering At Her Home

There is a home daycare provider at the end of our street. The top floor of her home is reserved for her family and the basement is for the children in the daycare. This Sunday she had a large gathering of about 50 people and they were there from about 2:00 p.m. until around midnight. In this age of social distancing, if you were a parent, would you want to know that this gathering took place?

If it was a gathering in support or BLM, I’d be ok with it. If it was just a social gathering, I’d be really pissed.

It’s none of your business to monitor and tattle on a neighbor. What are you going to do, wait outside her house and warn parents?

It’s none of your business to monitor and tattle on a neighbor. What are you going to do, wait outside her house and warn parents?

I'd definitely report to the county or whoever and let them deal with it. Maybe tell us who they are and then you've done your due diligence. I'd be so pissed.

What county are you in? If you're not in Montgomery County (or PG county) then I think this is allowed under Hogan's new executive order.

marches and protests are outside. it's much easier to practice social distancing there. and most protestors were wearing masks.

It would be permitted and none of your business as of today in northern VA. It’s a risk that you take when you choose a home daycare provider. They are free to use the space however they choose when the children are not present.
