Food, Cooking, and Restaurants

I made this homemade baby food for DC, but I think it's great for everyone. I had some with a little ice cream. It tastes like apple berry pie a la mode to me.
I used just 2 Trader Joe's items: Bake or steam organic Fuji or Gala apples that have been cut into 1 inch cubes (until soft). Blend the cooked apples with frozen wild blueberrries.(I used the Trader Joe's wild boreal berries.) Don't cook or steam the berries, as it really changes the flavor. Add water, if necessary, to reach the desired consistency. The finished product may be good warmed up and served with ice cream. No extra sugar is needed. It turns out 6 month old DC is too messy to eat this, so I just made a big batch for myself
I think it could be used in lots of ways, like with cake or as part of a trifle. |
