place to ride scooters inside?

My kids got scooters for Christmas. It has been so cold out, that they haven't really had a chance to ride them. I was wondering if there is any place to ride inside. I was thinking about the mall before they open the stores (they open early for mall walkers - but when I have been there it hasn't been very crowded.) But my DH thinks security will stop them due to liability issues. Other ideas?

Our local community center has open gym for preschoolers once/week specifically for children to ride their vehicles (3 wheels or more).

I agree with your husband; do NOT take your kids to the mall to ride their scooters. Talk about inconsiderate! No of those walkers wants to be mowed over by a child on a scooter.
