Has purchasing workbooks from them worked out for you?
I made a purchase without creating an account a few weeks back. The next day a few fraudulent purchases were attempted on the same card and I cancelled it but forgot I'd used it for the book order. 2 weeks later and three weeks later I inquired about the status of my Scholastic order and kept getting an automated message telling me everything was delayed and to be patient. When I finally called someone (18 days after the order) I was told it was still in the warehouse and that my card hadn't been charged yet because it's only charged when the order is shipped.The person on the phone also said that the only way to change the credit card for that purchase would be to cancel the order and try again which would reset the crazy wait. I was also told that because I hadn't created an account I would probably not even get an email telling me my card has been declined and my order would just be cancelled. anyone else had had to wait 3 weeks or longer to get their workbooks or worse yet had their credit card compromised? |

I have no advice. I can only commiserate.
The Scholastic online book store is seriously messed up. I tried to buy books so that I could do some videotaped read-alouds for my school system that they're putting on tv. I went to Scholastic first because of the Lexile info and books are grouped by grade. Anyway, I ran into the same problems as you. I finally had to call and cancel my order because it had been over 4 weeks and nothing had happened. I am still worried that I might receive a package or have random charges. I was very surprised by my experience. It really made them seem remarkably inept as an organization. |

I think Costco may have those grade-specific workbooks?
