VA Absentee Ballot

So do I have to register to absentee ballot for every election (primary, general election, etc) separately? And the general election in Nov I can’t absentee ballot register until Sept?

What a PITA.

Not to vote early in person, but yes to have one mailed to you of course! They need to know who has a paper absentee ballot so those people don’t show up later to vote. If you later decide to vote in person, you must bring it with you.

I’m a liberal dem and have no issue with this. It keeps the process fair. Sorry it’s so hard for you to fill out a simply 1 page form online.

Where is there a truly online form? I have to print it and mail it, which is harder for us b/c we have no outgoing mail.

It’s only available to register a few weeks before so it makes it difficult to print and mail in a tight window.

I did not have to mail anything. I said it was ok to use my DMV signature. And yes, I need to request another one for Nov.

Exactly, I filled in the online form, received my ballot in the mail, and mailed by ballot back.

Although I support universal vote by mail, like so many other states have, the Virginia process was easy. I didn't have to print anything. I usually vote early absentee in person, and that's easy too.
