I aborted a baby that had Potter Syndrome (no kidneys) after 20 weeks. The baby would have died on arrival. I'm 100% positive I would have had to carry that baby to term and cry every time I felt it kicking knowing it would die. My health was not in danger, but the baby would die no matter what I did. I went on to have 3 more extremely wanted and loved babies.

Sorry, honey, but you will have to carry that baby to term, crying all the way. That's what these "pro-life" folks want, so you'll have to suck it up, OK?

For someone who is on the same side as this mom, you sure expressed that in a terrible and heartless way. I'm sorry for your loss, PP. I also lost a baby and went on to have children, but I still think of that one with sadness.

So what?! I had two abortions and have never given them a second thought. I ready had three children and wanted no more. This is the choice every female in the world should have.

So gross. I’m kind of on the fence about a lot of this, but that kind of attitude right there gives me a little joy about today’s news.

Oh i hope they do boil up. I hope the country implodes as a result of this .

I hope they do not. Right wing agitators and provocateurs came out of the woodwork in the summer of 2020, relying on the volatility and anger to provide cover for their chaos-sowing. I would not be a bit surprised if Jane’s Revenge was infiltrated by right wingers or was just a right wing false flag group. We already know that regressives are the largest ongoing domestic terrorism threat and have been for a long time.

What I hope this does is gets the scales to fall from the eyes of the people who have been, for a variety of reasons, playing along with the fiction that both parties are the same or that the Democratic Party is the extremist party. The GOP is trying to bring about the end of the American Experiment. They want to dismantle the Constitution and all the institutions. They want a fully christianist white nationalist state. They do not want democracy or even the pretense toward it. Please, if there are any both sideser reading this, understand what they want.

***If you are going to protest, FFS look up how to protest safely. There will be right provocateurs looking to start violence. Do not bring your phone. Obscure your face. Bring a burner phone to record right wing acts of violence. Be a calming force among legitimate protestors. Remember that at the Women’s March, there was NO violence.***

I would encourage you to read more about late-term abortions who has them and what they actually entail because it doesn't seem like you know the facts

I know someone who had to give birth to a dead baby. It was beyond horrible, and it has scarred her and her husband for life.

This will happen more and more when women can't have an abortion before viability, when life-threatening defects in the fetus are discovered.

Yes, it will. And the anti-women's health crowd will say too bad. Because they don't care about women. I went to Catholic school and I heard all about this in religion classes. They really, truly don't care about real people's lived experience.

They don’t care, at all. It’s all waved away, doesn’t matter. “Give it to God.” Forced birthers do not care about the kind of misery, pain, poverty and destroyed lives that they’re causing.

Will never forget the horrific story a nun once told us about a family with 5 children whose mother was told not to get pregnant again, she did, was told it would kill her, it did. "But that family just loved that baby." And then 6 children grew up motherless. I remember thinking "f that." What a terrible lesson to teach. That women are only important as vessels of gestation.

There is nothing about being a nun that actually requires kindness or compassion. Many lack both.

You’re not on the fence at all, forced birther. You’re giddy.

Exactly.

Abortion must be argued on the basis of equal protection.

That unwanted fetus is 50% male, and men must be the plaintiffs in all future lawsuits asking to uphold the legality of abortion.

Here comes the summer of rage.

So what are the consequence for the ones who lied to congress and testified under oath this was settled law?

You mean all six right wing extremists?

There will be protests all across the country this summer.

More important, I pray this motivates millions of Democrats, Republicans and Independents to VOTE for Democrats in the midterms this fall.

It will.

I'm not on the fence. I'm vehemently pro-choice. But I doubt the PP was raped twice. She's probably married and should have taken better precautions after the first accident.

Please do not do this.

VOTE in the midterms. Get everyone you know to vote for Democrats in the midterms. No matter their political affiliation or lack thereof. VOTE for Democrats. That will be the most important thing you can do to get a law passed making abortion legal in all 50 states forever.

STFU you total POS!!

those were fetuses, not "babies"

grow a brain and learn the difference

I've been pregnant 3 times. Not once did any of my doctors (male or female) refer to my pregnancy with the word fetus.

I've been pregnant 4 times. All of the doctors referred to the fetus at the early stage of pregnancy. Because that is the medical term.

It's the whittling away of rights, including bodily autonomy, that we should be very very terrified of.

No, it's not about bodily autonomy. That's a weak argument, not protected by the Constitution. Sorry.

Okay Justice Anonymous.

This is about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. All three implicated in a woman’s decision to continue a pregnancy or not.

This decision will not stand, and if it does, I’m not sure what kind of place this country will be.

DP. Mine referred to it as a fetus when they thought I was going to miscarry. And I was more than fine with that.

This is actually a good idea. All restaurant owners who believe abortion rights should remain legal should refuse to serve these conservative justices in their establishments. Their private clubs should kick them out. Their employees should all quit taking care of their homes, cars, health and safety. Shame them in public, so they become prisoners in their own homes. Just don't harass them. That makes you look bad, not them.
