Decided to start a spin off of sorts.
What classes did you really like? Be as vague or specific as you like, you can even post referral links (hope it’s not against the rules). My 10 yo is into art, detective/mystery novels, war, survival, improv, videogames, animation. So these are the classes I would love to hear about the most! |
Oh and Japanese esp all the pop culture
|
| And if there are meh classes/ teachers, spill it, too! |
| The Op Art Rolling Cone class |
| Art classes by Jennifer Rowe: How to Draw Cats, How to Draw Horses, etc. Excellent for kids who have artistic talent and now have the time to turn it up a notch. |
| DS loves history and keeps taking classes with Michael P. Bielas. He never talked about anything in school but always talks about his classes. This instructor also teaches science classes but he hasn’t taken any of those so I can’t comment on them. |
| To OP, I reread and saw you son likes war. Most of these classes are military history and various battles or war events. |
| Is interested in war... not likes war! |
| OP here, thank you! We will try these classes out |
| We're working through the Pokemon + nature classes. It's fluff, but it keeps DS occupied and interested. We do the flex time classes and just watch the video. We tried one live class, which was okay, but my kid is pretty shy, so he didn't speak up at all. |
| Our kid is trying lots of different classes. Many of them are one-off, one-hour sessions, so that she can test out different teachers and learn about different subjects. We actually like the format, at least so far. |
Same here, for our 8yo. She's taken maybe 7 classes so far, and I've kept a few teachers in mind for the future (you can favorite other classes they offer). |
| We are only doing classes labeled "camp" so that it's like one-hour long each day for a week. Parents here who need to work. So far Architecture Rocks is AWESOME (just make sure to buy the supplies ahead of time) and Meet the Composers is pretty great too. |
