Tense at White House barricade. Flag set on fire and quickly extinguished. It feels like this crowd is using Floyd protest opportunity to rattle Trump's cage.

As protesters arrived at Pennsylvania Avenue/Lafayette Park, the White House has been locked down.

The doors to the White House briefing room, where reporters have their offices have also been locked and Secret Service officers are not letting anyone off White House grounds.

There were members of the press corps around the press entrance but they were just cleared out and have been brought back to the White House press briefing room.

CNN has reached out to the US Secret Service for comment.

New York is currently bubbling...

Atlanta protests getting heated now despite crowds organizing for last 5 hours. Fires downtown Atlanta. It happened quickly. Police seem nervous. Something just exploded near a burning car.

NY Barclay Center in Brooklyn is center of protests.

Crowd moved from White House. Didn't take long for them to move on.
