Our refrigerator has started to freeze the food that in our refrig. If the food is pushed to the back then it gets frozen, but recently food that hasn't been shoved to the back is also starting to get frosty. Any thoughts?
The refrig. was brand new when we moved in...that was 8 years ago. And the refrigerator setting is at 6.5 (on a 0-9 scale) |
| Turn it down to maybe 4? |
| Turn the temp down, duh. |
Not necessarily. It sounds like the problem is fairly recent especially if freezing is occurring else where in the refrig. OP - is the freezer affected too? It could be a malfunctioning thermostat which maybe overcompensating in the refrigerator portion. |

It could be the setting or a malfunction.
But one cause might be that you have filled it in such a way that you are blocking the air circulation. That happened with my last refrigerator when we packed the top shelf too full, and it caused some items to freeze. |
| Ditto PP's suggestion re: air circulation. Also make sure the freezer isn't overstuffed and hindering air circulation up top. |
