Border Collie Breeder

The BC breeder I was talking to since early April has stopped communicating with me about her upcoming litter. Can anyone recommend a breeder around 2-3 hours from the DC area? I know if I cast a wider net I’d have more options, but I’d rather be able to drive to pick up the puppy and not have to drive too far.

Do you own sheep, goats or cows? Are you planning on extensive obedience training and competitions? If not, please do not get a border collie. I worked for a farm that bred them and they are working dogs. Period. Contained in a city house with insufficient stimulation and they will DESTROY everything.

Why exactly do you want one? I totally agree with the PP. They are not pets. The breeder that ghosted you read you correctly.

We got out BC from plum hollow border collies. She has g by ren a wonderful family pet and we don’t live on a farm.
