| Our club is giving us 72 hours to accept an offer for the Fall season and want us to hand over another $350. No mention of a refund if (when) the season does not happen. Anyone not accepting offers ? |
Yes |
| Yes I know one club thinks they will lose 20-30% of their current players. It is what it is. You can either pay and hope there will be a season and club or not. Let’s face it if there is no season in the fall some clubs are going under. |
| Which clubs are pressuring people like this? |
| Did you ask about refunds, if there is no fall season? |
| We are leaving SYA and playing rec if there is a season, but the cost is a huge stretch for us financially. Hope my boys don't fall too far behind the kids who stay in travel this year. |
| Not planning to and have talked to a handful of parents of teammates who aren’t committing or will wait until end of summer and re-assess. That may leave the club in limbo, but they should cut the high pressure BS. |
| Lmvsc - 2 days to accept offer. No refunds or credits given. |
Bethesda- had to give answer for ECNL teams by May 9th or so |
| Arlington 72 hours |
| My oldest decided to not to play the next season and use the extra time to prep for SAT and ACT. We still got an offer even after telling the coach. |
yes. exact same terms (longer to think about it) and we accepted. I anticipate we will be in at least in stage 2 and can do practices. I'm fine with that. bonus points for stage 3 with scrimmages ( wishful thinking). |
| the younger ages groups of BRYC had a deadline of yesterday. No idea on what percentage is returning. |
They may lose players for good. My DD has a great many other interests that are more Zoomable than soccer and have provided much needed normalcy & enjoyment. We have no pressure from our club right now (kudos to them) but we'll see what she decides to do when things start to normalize. |
Yep, Arlington, but they are using the same system / process they used last year - nothing changed, but still unforgiving considering the circumstances. |
