For those who aren't scared of this Covid thing

We need to come together and have a pick up game for boys and girls maybe ages 11-15?

Thought? Plenty of field open all around the DMV (preferably Northern Va)

Lets do something positive and have our kids out there!

Where are there fields open?

We are in. Let me know when and where

Good luck finding an open field. Even if you do, anything organized will get a cop called. Just a heads up. I’m not gonna eat but if you organize, somebody somewhere will. Do some 5v5 in a parking lot or something

Not true yes cops were being called when this quarantine first started but this weekend I have seen pick up games all over from schools turf fields in Vienna to Tysons and no one is calling the cops.

We were at Arrowhead yesterday and cops showed up and kicked everyone off. Including these guys who has crawled under the fence to get into the turf area.

Maybe it varies by districts how much they enforce the rule. I too have seen some pick up games

The fooltball, baseball, and softball filed are opened in both Mclean and Langley HS. You can go there and play. My kid just finished his private 1-on-1 soccer lesson at Langley high school. As long as there are less than 10 people on the field with proper social distancing, no one will call the cop. People in Mclean have better things to do than call the cop on you. Please go out and enjoy the nice weather.

How long will that last? Maybe two minutes? You need a life outside of your kid’s soccer games. Seriously

Just because I see people committing a felony doesn't mean its right so likewise if I see people playing pick up soccer I'm not about to take my kids to a game

I live on Harvey Rd, right across Langley HS and no one here in Mclean will call the cop on you because we have better things to do with our time. Even if they do, as long as you have no more than ten kids, the police will do nothing. It is perfectly "legal".

So OP,

Will you have less than 10 people on the field?

No one is forcing your kid to play pick up soccer if he/she does not want to. Playing pick up soccer at Langley or Mclean HS fields with less than ten players is perfectly legal. I see people play tennis at Langley HS this morning, that should be like committing a felony too, if we go by your definition.

Such a clown.

In a middle school in NOVA I often see pick up games with no more than 10 teenagers, even with 3 patrols in the parking lot. Even with other people jogging or families with kids in the same field.
